About DPCI

Capability today.
Digital trust for tomorrow.

We bring an implementation perspective to privacy education, professional development and industry engagement.

Our mission

Make privacy capability
part of everyday practice.

DPCI builds practical privacy implementation capabilities, enhances professional employability and advances digital trust through education, competency assessment, research, academic partnerships and industry collaboration.

Privacy work crosses organisational boundaries. It asks legal, technology, compliance, risk and operational teams to act together. DPCI aims to create learning and engagement opportunities that connect those perspectives.

01

An initiative of Paryoma Foundation

Data Privacy Council operates as a privacy capacity-building and industry-engagement initiative of Paryoma Foundation, a Section 8 not-for-profit institution. DPCI is a private initiative and is not a government or regulatory authority.

02

An ambition shaped by participation

Our long-term ambition is to develop an industry body bringing together privacy practitioners, employers, academics and institutions. Community participation, membership categories and governance arrangements are being developed.

Planned governance

Governance that earns confidence.

The arrangements below describe our intended approach. They are not claims of established appointments or operational processes.

01

Advisory participation

We intend to invite relevant practitioner, employer and academic perspectives to inform programme development. Appointments and advisory terms will be disclosed when confirmed.

02

Conflict-of-interest management

The proposed approach includes declaration of relevant interests, management of assessor conflicts and recusal where impartiality could be affected. Detailed procedures remain to be finalised.

03

Separation of decisions

Training delivery and certification decisions are intended to have distinct responsibilities. Proposed assessment review and appeals arrangements will support fair, evidence-based decisions.

Our commitment is to transparent programme information and proportionate governance. Formal certification policies will be published before certification applications open.
Our approach

Practical. Collaborative.
Clear about our role.

Our work is educational and developmental. DPCI does not confer statutory authority, authorise legal practice or guarantee employment.

We do not claim government approval, accreditation or affiliation with DSCI or Nasscom. Any future relationship will be described only when confirmed.
