CPIP is being developed to assess practical judgement: understanding a requirement, designing a workable response and demonstrating evidence of implementation.
Certified Privacy Implementation Professional (CPIP) is DPCI’s proposed advanced, practitioner-focused credential. It connects privacy knowledge with the processes, controls and evidence organisations need to put requirements into practice.
The proposed credential is intended to help candidates demonstrate practical privacy competence through scenario-based judgement, implementation work and supporting evidence. Its focus is on capabilities relevant to professional practice.
These are intended audiences, not confirmed eligibility criteria.
Privacy, compliance, legal, risk and audit professionals developing their implementation judgement.
Technology, cybersecurity and data-governance teams connecting privacy responsibilities with systems and operational controls.
Professionals and students exploring implementation-focused development and the capabilities needed for privacy work.
Proposed learning outcomes focus on applying knowledge and explaining implementation choices.
Translate relevant privacy requirements into responsibilities, policies and an implementation plan.
Map data flows, uses, systems and owners across collection, use, retention and disposal.
Design understandable notices and practical workflows for requests, preferences and grievances.
Identify privacy risks, evaluate third-party practices and document proportionate controls.
Develop a coordinated response approach with clear roles, escalation and evidence handling.
Define measures, maintain implementation evidence and communicate progress to decision-makers.
These proposed outcomes describe the capability CPIP is intended to assess.
Connect a privacy requirement with accountable owners, a workable process and proportionate controls.
Explain how data inventories, consent, rights handling, third parties and incident response fit into organisational operations.
Select and structure records that show what was designed, how it operates and where gaps remain.
Explain assumptions, risk decisions and implementation choices to business, legal and technology stakeholders.
Assessment design, marking criteria and administrative arrangements remain under development.
Apply privacy knowledge and judgement to realistic organisational situations.
Develop a response to a defined implementation problem and organise supporting evidence.
Explain your approach, assumptions and implementation choices in a focused discussion.
A course completion record, where offered, would recognise completion of a learning programme under its published terms. It would not by itself award CPIP.
The proposed CPIP credential would require meeting the separately published assessment and certification requirements. Attending a DPCI course would not guarantee a certification decision.
The proposed framework will address honesty, confidentiality, responsible handling of information and accurate representation of credentials.
We intend to develop a continuing education and renewal framework. Activities, evidence, intervals and any associated fees are not yet finalised.
The intended approach includes transparent criteria, management of conflicts, separation of training and certification decisions, and a fair review and appeals process.
Choose the level that fits the capability you want to develop. Both programmes are in development.

Explore CPIPCPGA focuses on foundational privacy knowledge and judgement in defined scenarios. CPIP is intended to assess deeper implementation capability through examinations and practical evidence. CPGA is not currently a stated mandatory prerequisite for CPIP; each credential will have separately published entry and award requirements.

No. Fees, examination dates, pass marks, eligibility criteria and programme duration have not been finalised. Confirmed arrangements will be published before applications open.
No. Course completion and professional certification are distinct. The proposed credential requires a separate assessment and certification decision under the final published requirements.
The current proposal combines scenario-based examinations, a practical implementation project and a short discussion of that project. These arrangements may change during programme development.
DPCI is a private initiative of Paryoma Foundation. No government approval, statutory authority or accreditation is claimed. CPIP does not authorise legal practice.
DPCI intends to publish impartiality, conflict-management, assessment and appeals policies before certification applications open. These arrangements are under development.
